re: What's the scariest thing you've witnessed?

I got taken out via a "pit maneuver" by a semi on 294 in Chicago doing about 70 mph. Was passing the semi on the right to get to an exit, he didn't see me, came over, caught my back bumper and I went sideways in front of him getting pushed down the expressway. I felt the car lurch to the left, thought I had a blowout, and the next thing I know I'm sideways getting pushed, can hear the tires screeching, and have a semi grill six inches from my face. I was able to essentially "back off" the front of him and maintain control without spinning out into the other lanes of traffic.

Not a scratch on me. Every person I talked to throughout took the opportunity to remind me how lucky I was.
