Does Duncan Donuts count? Shitty donuts not made on site. Coffee is not seen as a “treat” like Starbucks for most patrons, and not a gathering place like Starbucks/other coffee shops. Duncan in Boston will never close, but I see a contraction outside of their New England home base.

They keep opening new locations around here, especially beach side. Likely just trying to make a buck off tourists who don’t feel like driving an extra 10-15 minutes to Starbucks. One of the nice characteristics of several of the beach towns around here are minimal chain restaurants, and then one of these boring places opens up SMH

Has to be Hardees. They should just lock the doors after breakfast

Is the Hooters still open there?

There was a Hooters in Barnesville? I used to travel through it pretty regularly for a recurring job I used to have on SR 3 between Hannahs Mill and Griffin and I sure would have dropped in if I had known that. I'm surprised Barnesville would have had one really, it's not very big

don’t see how Five Guys does it. 14 dollars for a goddamn hamburger

Their entire business model seems to be built on “I want a hamburger, but not a McDonalds hamburger”

the cold brew there is a lot cheaper than starbucks and it's not that bad. I wish there were more of them around me.

They moved into the BR market about 10 years ago with a few locations but they didn't last long. Maybe 5 years.

Dunkin is terrible, but there is one around the corner from my house that seems to do well.

The Burger King nearby is always reliable though, and I will take a Bacon King over anything at McDonald's.

I would guess Church's for most struggling. I never see them anymore.

When I drive by Siegen during lunch this is what I see..

Whataburger long drive-thru line, BK 1-2 cars, Chic Fil-A double line 15+ cars deep, Taco Bell 2-4 cars, McD long line .

So BK is easily the slowest.

think Subway is fine regardless of the dog food they serve, don’t they have the most locations world wide?

Subways are much cheaper to open and operate than mcdonalds, burger king etc

And they only require 2-3 employees at a time.

Managed a subway while in college... We needed just at 4000 a week to be profitable. Some weeks we would hit 6k and on big wknds 7k. That was mid 90s though

I have heard about subway pretty much making many of it owners trapped as employees never making a profit and working incredible hours.
Their bread I believe is also now classified as a dessert because it is so bad for you.

Because their burgers are delicious. And they arguably have the best fries in the business.

I like Burger King's burgers more than McDonald's. They just never seem busy and usually have Popeyes level of service in BR.

The coffee at Dunkin is better than Starbucks. Their doughnuts aren’t that good, but I’m a sucker for doughnuts and will get one if I go there for coffee.

Burger King has always had issues with unruly franchisees and cohesive marketing. They have a unique offering, somewhat, but poor image.

Or more like fresh never frozen, no preservatives where the food is cooked in front of you not sitting in a heat lamp. You know you are getting actual potatoes and beef there.

The regular hamburger is a double burger it already has 2 pattys. The little burger is a single. Each patty is 3.3 ounces. Not exactly little compared to other fast food places.

It’s actually 3.7 ounces.

And prices vary for every brand depending where you live. Like for example, five guys in Louisiana and ms is slightly cheaper than every other state.

But in Louisiana you are paying a high sales tax. So you may pay more but that’s not going to the restaurant, it’s going to your government.

I don’t go to Arby’s because they quit making potato cakes. It was the main reason I would go. I do like their roast beef sandwiches with red ranch sauce.

Five Guys can suck a fat one. You’re basically looking $40 for two burgers, 2 fries and that’s it. frick ‘em. I’ll just do Wendy’s if I want a quick burger.

I don’t know where y’all are going.

But I used to eat here regularly when I was doing keto. They were my fast food go to Keto meal.

But anyways I just looked at the one by my work. Two burgers and a reg fry, which is enough for 2. If you eat more than that you are a fat shite.

Well it’s under $20 before tax.

Never heard that about the bread .. But again that was 20+ yrs ago ( pre Jared)
My boss had three stores and he traveled between them daily... His wife picked up shifts during summer ( teacher). He wasn't going to be wealthy as if he owned 3 McDs but he never made a sandwich the whole time I was there.
