Earlier this year I learned that the saying "you've peaked my interest" is incorrect. The correct word is "piqued".

You've piqued my interest.

As a teenager in the early 2000s, I knew that Silicon Valley was in California and it was the tech hub of the world. What I didn't know that it wasn't Silicone Valley. I thought the moniker was due to the amount of fake boobs walking around Cali.

I was about to post that when I was a kid, I thought the trees moving was what made the wind blow. By the time I was 6 or 7, I had figured it out, though.

ETA: When I was a kid, I also thought the singers were at the radio station in person singing the songs.

I thought the civil war was fought between north and South America. I don’t know what countries I believed were fighting. This was until I started high school.

no it doesn't

Intensive = thorough. Made sense to me. And at that time I had never written it or seen it written anywhere. Just had heard it.

Always wanted to watch someone buy a house with $200k+ in cash lol

Could you imagine showing up to the closing with a 1980's cop thriller briefcase stuffed with stacks of 100's in it and laying that sucker down on the table?

I brought $27K in hundreds to buy a car. We met at the seller’s bank after a couple of weeks of discussions. Got the BOS witnessed, notarized, etc.
