96 hour fast

you get really hungry around hour 16-18 then again when it gets close to time to break the fast.

6 1/2 days back in college. No reason, just to see what I could do.

A little over 72 hours.
Pretty often, voluntarily.

I fast almost 16 hours every day. Once I tried 24 just cause and made it but it was miserable and hated it.

I usually eat one meal a day, so 23 hours most days.

Client lunches and some weekends are exceptions.

Wild duration. Religious or health reasons?

Kinda both. Wasn't really expecting any kind of spiritual experience or epiphany and didn't get one, but was curious what that aspect of Jesus' wilderness experience might have been like.

Somewhere in the range of 32 hours back when I was a public defender. And it wasn't for any particular reason other than being busy. Had a big early-ish lunch one day, so I wasn't hungry the rest of the day. I basically never eat breakfast on work days, and then I unexpectedly got stuck in court all day through lunch and wasn't able to finally sit down for dinner until sometime that evening.

From that point on, I try to keep a breakfast bar or something like that in my briefcase.

Prep for a colonoscopy, I think it was 48 hours. Longest fast I've done was 4 days. Honestly, I did it to see what it was like.

About 4 days a few years ago. I had suffered a case of heat exhaustion which required hospitalization for a couple of days. After getting home I had zero appetite and the thought of food made me sick. It wasn't until day 5 that I started to nibble on a little bit of food and was able tolerate it again.

Based on recent trip to the movie theater most people can’t go two hours without eating and making a bunch of racket
