Longest I have driven was when I Johnny Paychecked my arse out of a certain French-based oilfield service company in Bakersfield and back to Texas... got a uhaul trailer and loaded up my apartment in the afternoon, drove down to LA and across the desert that night, and didn't stop until the sun started to set on me again in Fort Stockton. I was young and dumb, but experienced enough with working without sleep to know that I wasn't going to make it the next 6 hours or so without falling asleep at the wheel.

Hardest I’ve ever done - family woke up in Trinidad, CO and went to Sand Dunes NP, played there till noon. Then drove straight to Arkansas using only smaller hwys got home around 2:30am.

I was seeing fake mountains in Kansas at night I was so tired.

Started in Lubbock, TX at 5am. Delivered beer in San Antonio. Drove to Houston to load swamp coolers. Delivered in El Paso at 5am the next day. Over 1300 miles.

I delivered at a Costco just down the road from where I lived. But I was so tired that I parked in their lot and went to sleep after they unloaded me.

Attempted Salt Lake City to Baton Rouge about 1700 miles. I petered out around shreveport- I was just going nuts.
I kept saying enjoy the ride. I should’ve spent more time in Utah and Colorado.
