Lions don't live in jungles.
Neither do some species of Tiger. They range from the tropics to the subarctic.

The big bears would dominate them all, though.

Not sure how he qualifies for "greatest jungle cat" though.
I must have thought it was a cat from that movie.

They have some old black and white video on YouTube that demonstrates the Lions dominance of Tigers. The lion simply won't stop fighting until it wins.

If we're talking the tropical jungle, it would be the Jaguar.

You can call whatever you want. Kodiak Bears can get to be 1300-1500 lbs. Tigers can get to about 675 lbs. There's no beating that size advantage.

The big bears (Kodiaks, Polars, Grizzlies) are so much bigger and stronger. Plus, they are practically armored with their skulls, fur and blubber layers.

A male Southwest African lion can get as 500+ pounds. They're an even match for a tiger. I do agree with the other posters that certain types of bears would be more than match for any big cat.

African wild dogs have a kill success rate around 85%. Find me a cat that is that successful on their hunts.
Wild dogs hunt in packs. What do you think a tigers success rate would be if they hunted in packs???? Probably 100%

Male tigers get close to 200lbs bigger.
The largest male tiger was 850lbs. One on one the biggest tiger will take down the biggest lion.

Dominance of opponent - one on one an adult male tiger beats everything... strength and agility win out, even against a bear
Dominance of habitat - where big cats roam, they reign supreme... nothing tops them, it's that simple
Dominance of the planet - big cats are THE apex predator in Africa, Asia, and South America... and put in a good showing in North America, but bears are #1 here tbh
They range from sub saharan Africa to Siberia, to rain forests of South America, to the Rocky mountains
Simply, they dominate.

Bears are massive as hell. My uncle recently killed this bad boy.
