It's the wolf from The Neverending Story. That shite gave me nightmares when I was a wee one.

Holy sheet... What an animal.

Lions don't live in the jungle.

i can't stop watching that , even though it's about 5 years old.
So quick and it severed two arteries in the Hindu's arm. Lucky guy.
ETA: Freakin' brutal. A male tiger would have dragged him off and ate on him for a couple of days.

Then why is he called King of the Jungle.
Why don't we include him? For arguments sake.

He lives in the African savanna.

Well no shite the lion/tiger would beat a jaguar. They weigh twice as much.
I betcha a jaguar wouldn't back down from a lion or tiger, unlike a leopard. Pound for pound, jaguars are the strongest big cat.
I love all the big cats though.
Jaguar
Leopard
Cheetah
Tiger
Snow leopard
Mountain Lion or Puma or Cougar
Lion
In that order.
African wild dog trumps them all though.

Ah yes, the midwives of the savanna.

Pound for pound, inch for inch, it is the leopard.
No other cat is even close.

You ever try and make pie? It ain't easy.

I don't care where he's from, you big xenophobe.
This is my thread; and the fricking lion is included!

Gmork was creepy as hell.
Not sure how he qualifies for "greatest jungle cat" though.

What are you using to qualify that statement?
African wild dogs have a kill success rate around 85%. Find me a cat that is that successful on their hunts.
Now, pure size and viciousness the big cats have them one on one.
And to a poster earlier that listed his favorite cats and brought the dogs...technically cheetahs, snow leopards, and pumas aren't "big cats" because they can purr...or something like that. Some sort of vocal chord thing is used to help separate them.
edit: It's not that they can purr, it's that they can't roar. Although, snow leopards are still in the Genus Panthera.
