Can be buying a stock/crypto early, being apart of a startup or selling a business, marrying rich, winning the lottery, etc.

I know some professional athletes who went from middle class to millionaires overnight. That’s not illegal.

Inheritance that kicked in at 25 with a trust worth 200m

Was a slapdick until then and his parents couldn’t do anything about it

Lives in LA presumably blowing through it

Might not be all that fast in some people’s eyes but I’m guessing wikitiger went from a regular ol schlub to top .001% in less than 5 years.

First you need to define “rich.”

I saw the ticket before he went to cash in, but this dude won $100k on a scratch off. He gave $30k of it to his parents because he stole a lot of money from them over the year... Gambling addiction. After taxes he ended up with right under $75k and then after paying off parents that's $45k, which I guess isn't rich.. But I have a cousin who bet on AMCs stock when people were wanting the stock to go up in order to get wealthy people who faded the stock, to lose a bunch of money, but he already does pretty good. He told me he made just north of $60k, which again.. I don't consider that amount in a lumpsum to be "rich". When I think rich, I think enough money for someone to set themselves up to either not have to work if they don't want to or put them in a good position where they might not have to work as long...

I know someone who got Gordon, he got it done, and then they spent it like cousin Eddie in a year.

I don't remember specifically but I believe the speculation was that he had hundreds/thousands of coins.

He was shilling for it extremely hard when it was less than 100 bucks a coin iirc.

Follow up question…

What’s the slowest you have ever seen someone who has legitimately become rich lose a significant amount of it?

MOST IMPORTANTLY-why?

Give us the good stuff for wealth preservation.

My brother started a company 5 years ago and turned down an offer of 13.2 million for it last week. He has a solid/consistent revenue and will only sell for “stupid money”. We have a different definition of what stupid money is.

My cousin's first husband died in an industrial accident. She got a settlement in the low eight figures. She remarried a guy who turned out to be bipolar and he burned through most of her money.
