What’s the expectation with tipping valets on a weekly hotel stay?

Am I supposed to drop $5 every time I get my car?
What’s the rules to this nonsense.
I wish I could just put a tip for the week.
I don’t carry cash.

Well I want is to just tip once but then it won’t distributed in a pot to all the runners.
Then I end up stiffing 9/10 people.

If they have a parking lot for their hotel, then let me park the damn thing myself. If you want to force me to use your valet as the only parking option, i'm not tipping anyone. They should be giving me money for the inconvenience they are causing me.

I tip every time I use their service.
grow the frick up and put some cash in your pocket. The amount is up to you, but there is no excuse for a grown man to not have cash on him. Especially if you know you are going to have to tip and "muh card" or "muh applepay" isnt practical.

If it's an overnight stay and I won't pull the car after checking in: they get $5 coming in and $5 when I leave in the am.
If I'm going in and out (wink wink...nudge nudge), then I'll go with $10-20 on the front end and let them know that I'll be using the car. Then whatever single or two I'm holding at the time when I get/return the car.
In no instance should you stiff the guy with your car (even if it's a rental).

I tip them when I arrive and when I leave. I also don’t let it bother me if I don’t have cash. Pretty sure they usually split the pot depending on hotel.

Just tip them before they get your car, not after. Unless you’re a shitty tipper.
