What's the best way to get rid of big, bulky stuff like furniture?

I could probably sell a couple of pieces, but probably not worth my while. What I really want is for someone just to haul it away. If I put it on the curb it will sit there for a month.

Props on admitting you have crappy stuff and live in an undesirable neighborhood.

Apparently, in Louisiana, you just throw it on the side of the road.

Habitat For Humanity will pick it up.

Look into donating it. Certain charities (Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army) will come pick it up.
Also check with local churches. They may work with missions or other groups that provide furniture to folks displaced by fire.

We have these places called landfills we take things to if it's not worth giving away.

I've had Habitat Restore come pick up furniture before. It has to be decent quality though

You gonna let us know what you got, or just keep teasing us?
I bet a baw or 2 will come haul it off for you.

Call goodwill and ask if they pick up furniture. Some do and some don't.

They can actually be rather picky.

A Tennessee fan can come burn it for you as well.

I donating some large furniture to Joseph's Storehouse in Baton Rouge . They do pick up. There are several charities and non profit thrift stores you can call.

burn it? or sounds like you live in a neighborhood where you can’t do that- buy some land

Are they still useable, or is it basically trash. Because there's moving companies that do junk removal. Just call them and they'll come pick up the furniture without you having to do anything.

Call your trash company (if you have the individual bins). They'll charge you the same price that the landfill will charge and will pick it up for you.
