I think one of the few perks of being an attorney is that nobody really cares how you do your work for the most part. I suppose the ability to get stuff done during the day is a luxury (pick up groceries, go to the gun range/gym, meet with contractors or whatever).

Firms for the most part avoid the bureaucratic nonsense of the corporate world (relatively). Needless meetings are rare, HR plays a pretty small role comparatively, etc. One of the few bad things I've heard from in house folks is adjusting to spending 2 hours in a meeting about nothing hearing from people who push paper and basically generate procedural work for themselves to sustain the need for their role.

Freedom from micromanaging and being able to listen to podcasts most of the day. I can walk or drive to work and be there in less than 5 minutes.

Almost every study show this leads to less time off.

You may take your time off, but it seems to be a bad policy overall

it's a family work environment and they see me as their family. They will accommodate any request I may have. Paid for my fathers funeral (I was in the middle of buying a house). I really can't complain about them. high stress job tho

-ESPP at 15% discount
-9% 401k match
-Top notch job security

Downside:
-Giving into leftist bullshite propaganda. Have diversity meetings, celebrating pride month this year, juneteenth festival, etc
