Uptown New Orleans

Is my favorite neighborhood in Louisiana, but I don’t know what qualifies something as the “best”.

Disagree, based upon location and amenities.

Greenbriar may be “nicer”, but even that’s up for debate.

Audubon place.
True Old Metairie- not the new expanded version of it.

LSU lakes area, preferably the part on the northeast corner of the lakes. easy access to campus, downtown, Burbank, interstate.

There is a reason homes over there are so expensive.

This is the correct answer, although I would move your eastern border from Jefferson to Napoleon.

None of the BR neighborhoods listed are in good school districts, Spanish Town and The Garden District have small yards, the areas around the Lakes lack sidewalks, the areas listed have above ground utilities, and for the most part the homes are older and require more upkeep.

On the flip side each of the three are close to LSU, Downtown, eating places and you can get around fairly well. Each neighborhood is unique and there is a community effect that's strong.

It all depends on what you are looking for but all three can be great areas to reside if it fits your style.
