I mean best I’ve “been to” not “would like to live in,” it’s NYC. At least 6-7 years ago when I last visited.
San Diego and nashville would be next on the list

1. Boston
2. KC (underrated imho)
3. Pittsburgh (surprisingly, it was a good visit)
SLC was okay. Ditto Nashville.
I would say that summer in Chicago is nice...in the right areas.
I liked San Antonio too.
Austin...not so much.
LA and NYC have stuff to see, but neither were my favorite.
Houston and Atlanta are meh.
Seattle and San Fran were cool, but I haven’t been to either in the past 5 years.
As for international cities
1. Barcelona
2. Rome (old dirty shithole that it is)
3. Singapore
HM - Sydney, Budapest, and Munich

Are New York and Los Angeles "the same"?

Yes. If you had actually been outside the US, you'd know this.
I travel almost every week for work, including internationally. And this is one of the most idiotic things I’ve seen suggested in a while.

NYC and LA are mirror cities.

All major cities are the same. Same stores. Same layout. It's the result of globalization.
This is one of the dumbest takes I've seen on here in quite some time. Congrats

Yeah New York and Los Angeles have almost nothing in common but a voter base
New York City and London are the most comparable. In terms of transportation, art, melting pot, walkability, global presence, global dollars, real estate, influence on the world
And New York City is losing hundreds of thousands of people because it is a shithole and London is growing because it is not

after visiting San Antonio for work I’ll never understand the hype. The downtown is near but it’s a shitehole.
It’s a shame California is so crime ridden and homeless. San Diego and San Francisco would be unquestionably top tier.
North of San Francisco is the forgotten coast which might one of the most amazing places

I’ve seen Oweo posts that were less ridiculous than this.

Three cities that I expected to like but find to be very meh - Austin, Seattle, and Denver. The natural areas surrounding them were great but the cities didn't impress.

Yeah, but it's growing with Muhammads.

Wait until you find out that over 3.3 million residents in New York City were not from the US or almost 39% of the population there
Funny enough its almost exactly the same as London except they actually have a system for commonwealth countries that know the language and culture but New York City just has a bunch of who knows.

"I view great cities as pestilential to the morals, the health and the liberties of man. True, they nourish some of the elegant arts; but the useful ones can thrive elsewhere; and less perfection in the others, with more health, virtue and freedom, would be my choice."

Before the freaks ruined it - San Francisco.
San Fran in 2004 when we went was amazing. San Diego is a great city.
Vancouver was beautiful as wel. Architecturally stunning, friendly people, not bad food and extremely clean.
The one thing I've found in common with the nicest cities - there's no statues of Afro picks and the criminals go to jail. Well they used to

Vegas.
You didn't say "nicest". If you're cool with some scuzz, Vegas is awesome.

London
Paris
Prague
Rome
Are all huge cities that have more culture and are not like new york to me.
Barcelona is a great place to just go enjoy just hang and day drink, night life was incredible this was 15 years ago.
Santorini, Mykinos are awesome to get away, restaurants on the beach, wine tours in the mountains lots of history.
Big city small feel Vancouver is the winner all day (Tahoe on steroids).

Boston is my favorite large city to visit.
I second this. We’ve been there several times and we really enjoyed visiting the historical sites, food was good and people watching in Boston Common all make me want to go back.
