German Shepherd and it’s not even close. Very intelligent, well behaved and very easy to train. Not to mention great family protectors.

I have only owned 2 dogs... a Doberman and a Shiba Inu.

I'd take another Doberman.

We have two pure bulldogs that are great, but our huskey/German shepherd/boxer mix is the best dog. Protective, great with family, obedient, runs with my wife, and great on camping trips. He just showed up one morning.

Most useful is my Drahthaar. But he’s a fricking menace sometimes.
Best dog is my female Lab. So much drive to please makes for an easily trainable dog. The male I had was hard headed but useful in the field.

I've got a Newdle/newfypoo he is half standard poodle, half newfy. Dude will lay out in the snow/cold wet grass all day if you let him.

I grew up with Standard poodles, wife wanted a newfy, so we got 2 of these guys, just lost one to cancer. Awesome with kids, much lower energy than poodle, 100+lbs of big lazy lap dog.

Two lab chow rescues. They appreciate being a family member finally, loyal and their love is unconditional. Beautiful pups, they train you really well.

RIP MR

Irish Setter. He was smart, gentle with kids, easy going, goofy as hell, beautiful, quirky and had a very distinct personality. Miss him every day.
He was named Roscoe after the previous Mike the Tiger's original name.

As a kid we had 2 mutts. 1 looked like an Australian sheep dog (lived 15 years) the other looked like a terrier (lived 14 years).

When married the wife had 2 shiz zus and a miniature Winnie dog.

Oscar our mini Winnie dog was fearless and thought he was a big dog.

Definitely one of the most versatile. Their loyalty is legendary.

Had a few whippets growing up, now have a retired racing greyhound. All amazing dogs. My greyhound loves to lay around on the couch next to me and has the goofiest facial expressions. Greyhounds are great with families and kids, are extremely docile, don’t bark or need groomed, only needs a couple 15 minute max walks per day.

Border Collies. Grew up on a dairy farm. One knew where every cow was supposed to stand in the barn for milking. 90 stall barn and that thing could direct each and every one of them to the right spot.

Those dogs do not care how dirty they get and another one we had would lie down in soupy manure when we’d clean barns as she kept the animals inside so the only thing that wasn’t submerged was her head. Super friendly dog who when covered from chin to tail in wet cow manure would only jump up on people who stopped over who we were not interested in talking to. She never did this if the conversation was cordial. If there was a “no thanks, not interested, we’re pretty busy” that dog took it as a cue to jump up on a person looking for affection. The Jehovah Witnesses in that area must’ve had a hefty dry cleaning bill when that dog was alive,

If it ends in oodle then F off!! I get it. They are an intelligent breed, but they look dumb and prance around. Disqualified on those grounds.
