I hired one 3 months ago. Graduated from a school in north La. Had 1 year experience working for an engineering firm. I confirmed he was making 50k. I offered 52k plus vehicle allowance.

What position are you looking to hire? Estimator or PM? Or combo? Where? I'm looking.

cheap arse

everyone knows that you don't move for nothing less than a 20% increase.

He won't stay long, it's just to get his foot in the door.

I am a construction safety adviser with 13 years heavy construction experience. I sign on for $40 - $45 an hour, with 7 day paid per diem at $100 a day. time and a half hourly pay after 40 for overtime. I have my CHST, valid OSHA 500 and OSHA 510. I specialize in high angle rescue, confined space and high voltage.

I would be interested if you have assignment openings...

Do entry level graduates really go straight PM positions? Just asking I'm not familiar with the trade.

frick no, but the 55-65k number is valid

I went straight into a PM role. Started at 65K out of school working for a manufacturer running capital projects. Engineering degree though.

He was unemployed and 24 years old. I need him for 3 more months, if he leaves so be it. He's doing well so if he stays he'll get a bump and I'll put him on another project.

You can call me what you want - my projects come in under budget.

That may be true, but looking at the amount of people with similar experience looking for work (either out of school or that have been laid off), he should consider himself lucky to have work

I started at $50K my first year but made $90K after overtime and job bonuses. My salary is now $70K and I made $150K last year with overtime and job bonuses.

I left one job to work somewhere else for the same money. There are many factors besides salary that influence whether a change is a good idea or not. You're looking at it way too simplistically.

I'm no expert in this field, but off hand I would say a good starting point would be about....

We contract out all of our HSE. 90% of our clients want 3rd party when it comes to you guys. Same with QA/QC.

" So Mr. LNCHBOX, any particular reason you've had 3 jobs in the last 2 years? Why am I to assume that you just won't up and leave me in a few months?"

I don't hire HSE direct. I did hear a rumor that PALA was hiring.
