2 sticking points - no where to put the dredged material and too expensive to pump and spread onshore.
Secondly, the dredging operations would contaminate the thibodaux water plant.
More fresh water from the river would help, but it would also raise the elevation down the bayou. Which those people can't afford.
Op - stay on the bayou.

Ha. That's the beer stop not the crawfish stop. You're right though. I did see a few crawfish in the road. After a good night time rain the bullfrogs will do the same this time of year.

I noticed the grobeck eating crawfish in the grass. Didn't notice 1000's migrating or anyone picking them up.
