Chili's and Applebee's. They used to be the butt of jokes but you can get a damn good meal there now
Chili's, yes. And actually, I've always felt you could get a good meal at Chili's for the $$.
Applebee's...well...I'll agree to disagree.

Apple was on life support until the iPod (then iPhone relatively soon on that).
The pivot from an artsy, hippie competitor with Windows-based PCs to the definitive personal device maker was a trillion dollar pivot.

I remember all of those shitty Miller Lite logos except the '92-98 one pictured there is confusing the hell out of me.
Reminds me of the old Genuine Draft logo

Apple is the winner. In the late 90’s and early 2000’s they were almost bust. Now they are worth about the entire GDP of the Netherlands.
Marvel is another. Again, In the 90’s, marvel was almost bust and worth less than a dollar a share. 10 years later Disney bought them for over 4 billion.

I don't think Apple falls in the category of rebranding.
Apple made a technology adaptation by placing sim cards in their iPods to make the iPhone and creating the Apple Ecosystem around it, and subsequently crushing Blackberry.
IMO positive rebranding just means getting more sales out of existing products. Technological advancement is another category.

Trojan had a nice rebrand after that incident with the fake horse back in the day. They’re a nice little condom company these days.

Champion used to be for poors, now it’s designer level pricing, apparently.

For a while it seemed they were so easy to steal it was like they all were.
I guess part of their rebranding was rectifying that issue?
