You may want to look into ERP consulting. That's what I wound up doing. Basically it is a combination of accounting and software/database work and someone who can do both can get paid pretty well. I am doing significantly better than I ever would have in Physics, no regrets.

Agree 100%. A lot of people make fun of Ole Miss and think it's a school for idiots but they weed out the people that aren't supposed to be there pretty quick.

why would you ever choose southern over ULL or McNeese? They both have highly respected engineering programs, much more so than southern. if i was interviewing you and found this out, I would never hire you because it shows you make terrible decisions and take the easy way out.

SU has a better learning environment based on my strengths and weaknesses. The relaxed nature of most professors and a focus on learning the material instead of arbitrary tactics for more difficulty.

What EE topics are you studying? Power, Controls, DSP, Electronics, Microprocessors...?

Lies! It's incredibly easy to get a job right now, especially as a math teacher, with you having a degree in physics, you should have no issue teaching high school math, and especially for black males(which I'm assuming you are).

If you do not do a physics education program or get a masters in education, you will have a difficult time finding a job in education. You will be at a disadvantage. Most teachers don't even have degrees in their subject for K to 12.
You also have to pass a series of Praxis which is pretty hard.
Black males are THE most discriminated group in the US for education jobs. Most schools are primarily white especially private institutions.

We're not talking bout you being a physics teacher. We're talking about you teaching Algebra 1. And black males are discriminated against? The frick. They want black male teachers more than ever right now.

Being a black male with a degree makes you a shoe in for most jobs. If you were female, that's what we call a golden ticket.
And finding a job in education with a physics degree (and the automatic math minor it comes with) is easier than getting a 2.0 GPA in general studies at Southern.
The Praxis is hard?
