Would there be a USA if germs didn’t wipe out 90% of the native Indian population?

I've read about this a good bit back in my day.

Slavery doesn't exist in America so indentured servants come from Northern, Southern, and Eastern Europe. Also, slavery still exists in the Caribbean and Latin America, so along the way you still will get immigrants that come into the US.

The idea that the US would be a white mecca is false.

There's also writings about how music would be different. Rock and roll, blues, jazz, probably wouldn't come to be.

you do realize that there were lotsa white, brown, yellow and black slaves in history?

St Patrick was purported to have been a slave.

Plenty of white Europeans were slaves in the Roman Empire.

And without there would be no pyramids, nor Exodus, and old money wouldn't operate the same.

As for here (without slavery) : We would have a more obvious class orientation and less division by mere color.

There'd be a lot of unemployed community organizers and racial agitators.

Better question is what would it be like if Jim Crow laws never existed? If slavery ended and the country not just the south said “ we all live together”, would we be where we are?

Without slavery there's a good chance that what we know as the United States would be more like Canada and Australia - independent but still a part of the British realm, and the independence would have come much later.

Without slavery the cotton/rice/indigo economy of the southern colonies doesn't develop into anything near what it was. Without that economic engine the southernmost colonies may not have been willing to declare independence. If they had balked, do the northern colonies still declare? What does the war look like? Does the south become a haven for northern loyalists?

NOLA would be viewed in similar light as Nashville and the French Quarter would be lit

New Orleans = Dallas (Yikes!).
No Jazz, Blues, Mardi Gras as we know it today. Gumbo, red beans? Not thankful for slavery, don't get me wrong. Every action / reaction sort of thing...even some good goes away.

Less people in hell today.

Less diabetes (sugar) and fancy lifestyles for the aristocrats of the day. Blue bloods today (descendants of this wealth) are democrats instead of Maga today (kidding).

LSU has more football National Championships than Alabama.

We wouldn’t be playing songs like “*itch I’m from La” prior to kick off.
