What would the OT do?

Here’s the situation. There’s a family of three...father, mother and 17 year old daughter. No pics of mom or daughter. The father just bought a brand new 2019 $75k bmw. He also bought the daughter a used 2013 Corolla for her first car. They have a two car garage. The mother is telling the father that he should teach his daughter what being a gentleman is and give up his spot in the garage. They live in a nice neighborhood but the mother doesn’t want her daughter walking to the door late at night or going to her car early in the morning. She wants her daughter to park in the garage. The guy is a friend of mine. I told him that if he didn’t just buy a brand new car it would be an easy decision. I would give up the spot. But if he just dropped a lot of money on a brand new Beamer, the daughter is just gonna have to park outside. What say the OT?

Is the neighborhood questionable enough to warrant worries of walking in from outside?
Honestly, I'd mix up the parking. May even let it be first come, first serve. Last one home parks in the driveway
