Chest pain that radiates down my arm and shortness of breath
Lower back pain (kidney stone) where i couldn’t breath or stand up
Breaking a bone or getting cut so bad that it was going to require stitches
Work place accident that was gonna end up a workers comp claim

What’s the legendary trauma room at UMC?
Duh - I don't have an answer for that one. What is the answer?
Last time I worked ER at UMC was 1974.

The last week of November I called 911 and had an ambulance take me to the emergency room when I started having chest pains one afternoon. I had a couple of stints put into arteries in October, and thought something was going wrong there..
I actually had Pneumonia, but didn't know it. They kept me in the hospital for a full week with an antibiotic IV's flowing freely into my arm. They had to stick me in four different places during my time there. The last two veins they went in were in my left, then my right bicep. The antibiotics gave me diarrhea. That dehydrated me, so they added big bags of a saline solution to the IV tubing. I would have to unplug the machine and roll the IV pole into the bathroom every time I needed to go. It was the most miserable week I've had in a decade.
I told one of the administrative people that visited me every day that if I'd driven myself there, and had my car outside the hospital, I would have pulled out the IV and driven home.

The amount of money spent in every major city on ambulance care and transportation to emergency rooms for minor, primary care stuff is astronomical. I’m talking 100’s of millions of dollars.

Been there for kidney stones. Not something you can just “tough it out”
My dad passes em about 10 times a year for the past 6-7 years at home. I remember we were out to eat one time and he knew he was about to pass one, went to the bathroom came back and had passed it and was sweating like a stuck pig. Sat down and finished eating.

I’m not 100% positive but if the fire isn’t on I don’t think that would actually be carbon monoxide. Same thing happened to me and after some research I believe it’s just natural gas which can be harmful. I have detectors as well and none of them went off.
It was CO poisoning. I had bloodwork done again yesterday as we track the CO levels in my blood. This is been a real ordeal. Brain fog is finally lifting and memories of the days after are returning. I’m still struggling with the migraines and some short term memory. My husband has to tell me every day when he’s flying back bc I keep forgetting. Small things like that but it’s getting irritating.

Stovetop burner wasn’t turned all the way off so there was a slow leak for about 4-5 hours before my son caught it. Friendly note, mount your carbon monoxide detectors a little lower and not on the ceiling bc it’s heavier than air and will settle low.

There can be instances when the burner is not turned off completely that there is still an incomplete combustion going on without a visible flame.
Also to the other part of comment you replied to, carbon monoxide is actually slightly lighter than air. It’s small enough that along with a continuing source it can seeming sit and also fill up a room fairly evenly, but it still rises.
Natural gas is lighter than both, and propane is heavier than both.

Bone sticking out or nutz problems

I went for an ear infection and felt like my head was gonna explode. I needed anti-biotics and a steroid shot pronto and they gave it to me within an hour.
Looking back I may have been dramatic and just having a panic attack.

I did that last year. I woke up and had coffee. I thought it was just my stomach upset on an empty stomach with coffee. It got worse hour by hour until I was curled up in a ball on the bed in the fetal position rocking back and forth. I then threw up in the toilet. I asked my mom to drive me to the Urgent Care. We were driving up I-49 North merging over to I-20 West, if you've driven that, there are little bumps. Sounds like a horse galloping when you drive. I was yelling and cursing at my mom to slow down because each bump was absolutely awful. Hurt like shite the shaking in my stomach area. Got to urgent care at 6 and it was closed, so went to the ER next. While I was in the ER waiting room, the pain went away. I had no idea why. Doc finally sees me in ER and says that after an xray or some kind of test that it made it's way into the Ureter (maybe?) from kidney, it basically got shoved in sideways and that's the worst part of it is that stage. After that it didn't hurt too bad.
One doc said it was 4 mm, next one said it was 7 mm. I never pissed anything out. Maybe it disintegrated, but I never noticed any stone ever come out.
Maybe my python is so behemoth that it flowed out like a kayak on Niagra Falls.

I got hit with vertigo real bad while on an active drilling site. I was taken home first, then to the ER that evening as it got worse. I had no idea what was wrong with me, it was terrible, and scary. I'm glad it was "only" vertigo.

Had a bad ear ache last night and my wife asked if I wanted her ti take me in…i said no. Ear drum ruptured last night while i was sleeping and l bled everywhere. Who knew that shite bled so bad? Oh well, just got an appointment today with ENT and he fixed me up…not even sure what the ER would have done. Maybe lanced it, maybe just given me one of yheir expensive beds to bleed all over.
