What would be the 51st state if it came down to it?

My vote is Taiwan, tired of visa process when going to Asia. Good tactical position, already loves Americans, tai ice tea, have strong economy (semiconducting), and gives China a blow to the head

Would also be a great way to start off World War 3. If we ever get another state in my lifetime, my odds would be on it being some portion of California. Puerto Rico would be my second guess, although I can't imagine any benefit to the US as it stands and they don't seem to want it anyway.
