I don't disagree with this, but holding on to obscure meanings of words may be confusing to the person consuming a modern communication. After all, the sole purpose of words is to convey a thought from human to human. That is NOT to say that you shouldn't keep these words alive and out there. I don't believe in watering down our language to accommodate those who refuse to learn it. It's a battle between utilizing the intended nuances and having people understand what you're trying to say. Communication is pointless if the average consumer doesn't understand.
