You worked hard for it and probably have it on display somewhere, and rightly so.

But then you kick the bucket. What happens to that paper?

Garbage.
Goodwill.
Who cares … you’re dead.

Dunno, but I can guarantee that LSU and the TAF will find a way to reach me in the great beyond to ask for money.

It gets given to a niece or a nephew that puts it deep in a closet or in an attic until a flood or fire destroyed all that.

All of my past employers asked for transcripts anyway

I don't even care what happens to my body after I die. I don't know where my diploma is.

You are supposed to send it back to LSU. There can only be so many in circulation at one time.

I never had to get one. I’m 52 and a gamer. My dad is mid 80s and supports my gaming habits by working 2 jobs. He’s an a-hole

My mom framed my degrees from LSU, but my PhD is still in the tube they mailed to my house. Kids will probably toss all of it within seconds of me going in the ground

The diploma is valuable for about a year, maybe two after graduation. What you do after that is all that matters.

Better question: do employers even follow up on claims of having a diploma? Seems like buying the adobe Photoshop creative suite could save one many thousands of dollars
