First two years, I was a total idiot and had a 1.9. I grew up a little, went back as only half an idiot, and graduated with an overall 2.9
Very similar to my experience. My old Dad said he was committed if I did my part and I had not done so. I was on my own to pay for my education as best I could. He managed to put me in touch with NOLA roofing contractors who worked me in the summers and holidays. Roofing made me never want to frick off in school again.

Hey bud. I don't know you IRL. And I lurk more than I post so I'm not one of your tier 1 fellow posters. But I've caught enough of your comments to somewhat familiar with your history.
What kind of work do you do these days and what's your plan for the future? Just curious. You have a unique story. And I can tell from your posts that you're brighter than most around here. Wondering where you see yourself in 5-10 years

I'm at a 3.57 right now. I doubt I keep that with this semester. Almost done though.

3.1
It's not the grades you make, but the hands you shake.

Lew, if that's even your real name, what is your major?

Due to graduate with a 3.2 in CM this semester.
All that mattered was that I had a 3.0 to get by the algorithms for to interview for the national companies.
GPA means next to shite in CM, especially if you want to stay local.
1a) work experience
1b) who you know
1c) interview skills
5) GPA
Eta: accepted a job before then end of my second to last semester. Finding it real hard to give a semblance of any fricks now.

C's get degrees. Nobody has ever asked what mine was, and I don't think I would want to work for someone where that was an important factor. I graduated. 2.something, and I make more than most of the 4.0's I went to school with.
