Several years ago, I had to tell a friend of mine that her mom had passed away (suicide). She was in college at the time.

Letting my family know that my 19 year old son had cancer.
Letting my family know that my son only had about a week left to live.
Calling my Ex wife and remaining son and daughter to let them know that their sister died, then having to call the rest of my family to let them know that my one of my daughters passed away.

Had to tell my girlfriend, with tears in her eyes, that I had to let her go.

Her family would not approve of us and just kept causing problems.

For whatever reason, her Husband and kids just didnt want us to be together.

There is no way i could do what you do, beyond the academic implications. I would be haunted into eternity with memories I didnt need to have. I cant imagine how stressful that has to be.

My mom put my 14yr old arse in charge of informing every one of my stepfather's untimely death. That sucked.
