What authority does the EU operate under?
Like what is the limit of their power?
Curious if it’s limited only to trade or if domestic policy can be set too. Like banning gas stoves or things like that.

There hasn’t been a significant military conflict between European states in, what, eight decades? When was the last time that could be said?
Putting aside one’s opinion on whether it should have been the apex goal, if the apex goal was to keep the peace in Europe, the creation of the EU has been staggeringly successful.

Compared to the post-WW2 economy, it’s night and day. Hell, the only thing that kept Western Europe afloat post 1945 was US aid.

I get that. Are you suggesting they were headed toward one at some point in the past 30 or so years, BUT FOR the EU?
I’m not sure what one would be seeing to possibly infer such a thing.

Allow Germany to subsidize Italy, Spain and Greece

Specifically articulable? Nope. But European history is long, and while it didn’t necessarily always repeat itself, it sure fricking seemed to rhyme every few decades

You can’t…. From Waterloo to Franco-Prussian War was a little over 50 years.
The peace Europe has sustained since the fall of third reich is unprecedented in history.

Why is the EU pushing continued war in Ukraine?
Anybody calling for peace gets called a Putin sympathizer.

Bro… two major non-EU European nations are at war with each other right fricking now, with hundreds of thousands of men at arms and tens of thousands dead… And a major cause for the conflict is due to their economies.
That’s all the proof you need right there.

A mix of globalism and trying to tie together enough economies to offset Americas economic leverage on the world stage.

I don’t think you a a firm grasp on what is actually going on.
The two biggest proponents of Ukraine from the outset have been the US and UK… and guess what?… neither are members of the EU.
In fact, several EU members have openly pushed for peace deals (Spain and France)… Ana Germany has routinely dragged its feet on military aid to the post where it almost feels like sabotage.

Is there a legal invasion?

Because Russia has violated international norms and completely disrupted the worldwide economic system and refuses to stop.
Russia's whole goal has been to attack the EU by preventing Ukraine from joining. That's why Russia's puppet pulled the rug on it out of nowhere in 2014, leading to the Maiden Revolution and Russian invasion-seizure of Crimea.

So the Germans could finally have successful colonization

You do what the US did prior to invading Iraq and go before the UN, state your case then have the other member nations vote.
Russia, who also has a permanent seat on the UN Security Council, could have done this… but instead they chose to go all cloak and dagger.

Do you remember the parts in history class about the two most destructive wars in human history?

Simply to expand the grift. Current governments mostly exist to enrich the political class. We and Europe haven't quite reached Africa level of corruption, but we are well on our way.

The give poor EU countries a chance to get into richer EU countries pockets.

The EU wanted a peace deal.
