That’s a stupid dad. Blindly shoot when you have kids or other people that live with you.

There was a stripper from Ohio who was giving a lap dance on a balcony. She was so into the job, she accidentally threw herself to her death.

I remember this because there was a poster on here who swore he knew her and her family who got mad at the board for mocking her death.

there are so many people who died by stepping back one step too many to get photo taken at Grand canyon they should get honorable mention.

also multiple dead at Yosemite. they walk the top of falls. swept away.

variation at the beach in sf. people go onto boulders to fish. big wave. another dead fisher. every year.

I'm stunned how moms let toddlers piddle at waters edge at sf "ocean beach" as opposed to in bay, as if no extra big wave could happen. they aren't near enough to make a difference and they're talking or reading.

I knew 3 guys back in Jr high that died in a similar way. They jumped the hump in front the Rita bridge in Lockport and flew out the car and it landed on them.

This isn't a dumb way someone died, but it is an interesting story. This happened to the older brother of someone I graduated HS with. It was in the early 90s in the Pineville area. The guy died in a car accident as a passenger with a woman that was not his wife. They either ran a stop sign or simply didn't see the 18 wheeler coming. But they were T-boned and both killed in what was a horrific scene.

Now came the questions of the apparent affair. There was no evidence of the two ever being acquaintances. Neither family could believe this about their loved ones. There were so many unanswered questions. His dirt bike was missing. No one knew where it was. Fast forward several months, and here is the rest of the story....

My friend's brother decided to go ride his dirt bike one day while he was home alone. He went to a trail he apparently rode often that was only a few miles from his house. About a mile from the main road he got in a bad wreck and had a compound fracture to his lower leg. He managed to crawl all the way to the main road and flag down a random vehicle to bring him to the hospital. The kind lady got him in her car and was speeding to get him help when she ran through that stop sign and got T-boned.

Was playing golf with a good friend & 2 others; moderate drinkers, no one was even close to being drunk. Good friend was not a golfer, just out there with us for sun & beer. He blew a chip shot, one of many poor shots, and, pissed, swung his club against the cart. The club broke in half & one end went into his throat. We were all in shock & one of us pulled the club out of his throat. He ended up bleeding to death. A baby son was born 5 mths later.

Yeasr ago, a farmer we knew had lost a leg on a stationary hay baler. One day, he's working on a baler and one of his arms gets caught in the baler. He is literally being bailed. He removes the artificial leg and shoves it in the baler and the baler jams. He lost his arm but he did live.

Not the dumbest death, but I worked an OSHA case years ago where a guy was skinned alive in a pork factory's hog skinning machine. It was awful. It was a complete lockout, tagout failure.

Hate to be a Debbie Downer, but in case of such injuries, you aren't supposed to remove the object

quote:

Do not remove the impaled object!1 Impaled objects create a puncture wound and then tamponade (put pressure on) that same wound from the inside, controlling bleeding. By removing the impaled object, you run the risk of triggering bleeding that now cannot be stopped with external pressure.
