the best dog i ever had and it hasn’t even been a year yet. But i think that’s just a product of her being with me everyday, at work, at the camp, on the road, or at home.

A mixed breed black lab/sheep dog named "Pepper". He inherited size from his daddy (sheep dog) and color from his mother. Very intelligent, obedient and loyal, all you could ask for in a dog.

Abby, our 8 year old lab mix. She will go berserk when somebody comes around our house, but will just sit their while our son climbs on her or stacks pillows on top of her.

My mini schnauzer, Waffles.

Most chill animal I have ever met. I swear he's off getting stoned without me.

this dude is pretty awesome because he spends all day with us including car rides and sleeps in his cat bed in his own room at night.

My kids had a dachshund beagle mix when they were younger who was awesome also. RIP Abigail aka Snoopy

Have had several labs over the years. Picking a favorite would be like picking a favorite one of your children.

My first dog was a springer spaniel-pug mix. My parents got her before I was born and she lived until I was 11 or 12. I still think about her.

Bluetick Beagle. Was actually looking for a bluetick coonhound and a beagle cross, until i ran across these bluetick beagles. There are more of them up north, than down here. I got her from a lady in Texas who originally got them from someone in Kentucky.

I had an American bulldog.

Beautiful colors. Mutt of a blood line. But great behavior and good instincts.

Had this funny way of sitting in chairs or riding in cars like a person. Would not acknowledge other dogs. They'd run up and sniff him and he'd just go about his business.

Wife's current dog is a close second. Hes half pit and half chocolate lab. Both of which I hate. But he ended up with the best qualities of all of them. Complete comedian. Sweet to a fault. Listens well.

But he LOVES whiskey. It is the only thing he will try to sneak. You can have a steak laying on a low table and he'll ignore it. Had a neat pour of greenspot on the bbq table the other night. Walk inside for a second and come back out to him standing on the bbq table going to town on my whiskey

Solid 4ft jump up there and he ignored the chicken and burgers

I've had 2. The first was a black lab I had when I was a kid. He was a great dog. The 2nd is my current German Shepherd. It probably sounds gay, but I love him so much. He is the coolest dog ever.

He is the smartest, most loyal dog ever. He does whatever I tell him. Sit, stay, fetch, come, whatever. He always wants to be by me. If I'm grilling outside, he will follow me inside and outside everytime. He loves to fetch, go on car rides and play frisbee. The funny thing about him is he is not a lover. He does not like to be hugged or cuddled with. He will get up and run off if you try.

My first dog probably ranks up there for me. Half old English sheepdog, half cooker spaniel (not the damn crazy kind of voucher that hates humans.) Boy's best friend.

Had a few rescues over the years. I've got a 75# lap dog that's growing on me. Helps that she turns into a junk yard dog anytime a stranger converts around.
