2011 Mini cooper convertible. Awful. Had 30K miles on it and the pistons were shot. Timing chain gone at 15K. Ditched it.

Had to drive my dad's 74 Beetle while a teenager in the late 80's.
-Started on fire, luckily outside of car parts store so unfortunately we were able to keep it
-Drum brakes all around didn't work when wet which wasn't a problem in New Orleans' dry climate
-Electrical problems meant I had numerous jump starts popping the clutch to get started. One time on a date where I had to round up a few punks hanging out in the parking lot to push for me.
-Earl Scheib paint job added to the overall crapiness of this thing.

Overall: my aunt's mid 80s Ford Aerostar, so many times broken and stuck.
Me driving: 1987 Jeep Cherokee, gold exterior and interior. I had at least 10 times with the hood up in the Baton Rouge high parking lot mid 90s. When it did start, it went through a phase where the engine would automatically rev high. Really scary while driving, I had to mess with neutral and press hard on the brake to not die. Manual windows would get out of line and not catch and we had to pull door panels off to get the window back up. It died from a crack in the manifold.

71-72 Triumph TR6..all around shitty car. The electrical system must have been designed by a third grader. Even the damn horn would go out every couple of months. I dumped that car after about a year of putting it in the shop every other month.

1976 Chevy C10. The “Bi-centennial” edition. Total pos. Owned it 6 weeks, was in the shop 5 of those. Had an absolutely terrible shake and shimmy between 35 and 40 mph. The speed we drove 90% of the time. They balanced the tires, then replaced all four tires and wheels. They balanced the driveshaft. They ran it on the rack to test the differential. They disconnected the engine from the trans. No shake. Then added just the trans. No shake. Added the driveshaft. No shake. Put everything back together, took it out on the street, would shake your teeth out. Chevrolet bought it back from me for what I paid. Bought a new Nova, loved it. Wish I still had it.

Had a 1978 Bronco, developed chronic carburetor vapor lock in warm to hot weather, was always a joy trying to pull a boat up a ramp and have it lock up. Other than that have had good luck with all other vehicles.

Any American car from the 1980’s was a piece of shite.
Had a Oldsmobile Cutlass and a Mercury Monarch (looked like a Ford Granada) in the late 80’s/early 90’s.
Everything broke. Including the AC.Learned a lot though- got to rebuild the carburetor on both. Only good thing was both cost me about $1000 when I bought them, and I got $500 in trade on both when I got rid of them.

I've luckily never had any major issues with any of the Honda products I've owned (other than blowing an engine in my Civic Si which was my fault - damn moneyshift).
Growing up though, my parents had nothing but issues with our 2001 Chrysler Town & Country. Starting with the EGR valve failing, then the damn automatic sliding doors/hatch constantly breaking, then the water pump leaking which resulted in a near rebuild of the engine, then the transmission took a shite at around 90K. It was a nice minivan though when it was running.

Those 80's domestic cars were all gigantic pieces of shite. I had a Regal, Cutlass Supreme, and a Chevy Celebrity. They all sucked equally.
True but I still love them. Just nostalgia I guess.

Ford F450 that had the V10 6.8
Motherfricker left me on the side of the road more times than I can count. Plugs loved blowing out of the heads, oil cooler leaked within a year or two of replacing it every time which of course meant flushing the coolant from all the oil dumping into it constantly, rear end leaked constantly even after receiving all new gaskets twice from the dealership. Drove it for about 45k miles and sold it for luckily more than I bought it for.
