Pontiac Grand Prix. It was broken 3/4 the year.
I just stick to Honda and Toyo's now.

I turned 16 in the 80's. Those 80's domestic cars were all gigantic pieces of shite. I had a Regal, Cutlass Supreme, and a Chevy Celebrity. They all sucked equally.

Personally mine was an early 90s Nissan hardbody. It never left me on the side of the road but it was always in the shop. My wife had an Altima that had a lot of issues too. We've had bad luck with Nissans for whatever reason.

Easy - 1975 Ford Maverick.
Inline six with shitty pollution controls. 13 MPG and I had to get out and push to get over 60 MPH, and when I did get it to go that fast it shook like a wet dog.
ETA - installed a Holley Fuelmaster carb to help with gas milage. Only problem was that in certain combinations of temperature and humidity it would self-flood. Had to buy a hair dryer and extension cord to warm it up 8-10 times a year.
The high point was when the transmission died after I graduated college. Had to cancel a trip and throw more good money after bad to fix it.
Started saving money, bought a Toyota as soon as I could.

Racked up a LOT of miles on these... WHEN they would actually start. If you got that far they would run forever.

My mother had a Chevrolet Caprice Classic in the eighties. The flywheel fell off while she had it. She got a new car and handed it down to me. It burned so much oil the oil light came on at idle pretty regularly. I drove it for a while then my younger brother inherited it from me. It threw a rod and that was the end of the the Caprice Classic.

05 F250 with the 6.0. It took me a year to work all the engine issues out of it, then the trans took a dump.

I used my graduation money in high school(2005) to buy a 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, on paper it was great, all time 4x4, leather, sunroof, heated seats, etc. in reality, it was a total shitbox. On the way home from the dealership the plastic power steering pump shattered, slung the belt, and busted a hole in the radiator. Dealership covered tow bill/cost of repairs but I should've known that was a bad sign. Over the course of 2 years it left me stranded 3 times with bad fuel pumps, electrical issues, both front & rear ends ended up needing rebuilds. It really soured me on Jeep products.
I bought something else and had it parked in my yard before some Hispanic fellas stopped and offered $4500 for it and I took their money asap. Just a couple days before I moved it to cut the grass and when I shut it down and pulled the key out the lights all started flashing and it stayed running, switch turned off, key out. I hated that vehicle.

early 2000s hyundai elantra. Gigantic piece of shite.

2005 Nissan Altima.
We bought it in 2006 with like 15K miles. Took good care of it, but that car was a piece of shite. Constantly burned oil due to their famous catalytic converter completely failing issue.

I had a 70 Maverick. Same engine, no pollution controls. Got about 20 and would do 100. Still shook and was never in the running for favorite car, but it sounds better than the one you had.
For us, an 89 (or 90) Plymouth Grand Voyager. It destroyed two sets of tires and two transmissions in two years, then we got rid of the POS. Every time we took it to a new Chrysler dealership for work, they would ask us if it had been wrecked. Supposedly, it was "brand new" when we bought it. More likely, some corporate guy at Chrysler drove it, wrecked it, had it refurbished, shipped it to Atlanta, and sold it as new. Will never buy another Chrysler product.

Ours was an 07 and lost the CVT transmission at like 75k miles.

my wife's chevy traverse.
it's still ticking but i'm confident we've dropped $3k on the thing since buying it 6 years ago.

Ford Taurus
Ford F 250
Mazda 626
Runners up would be a 1998 Camry. I think we had the only bad Toyota ever made.

I recently bought one of these from Carmax, but I paid $20k for the extended warranty, so I’m good.

Honestly that’s nothing. Imagine having a shitty vehicle that’s also insanely expansive to repair.
Like a modern BMW
