My identity got stolen and a similar thing happened. They opened credit cards in my name and the first clue was I got a random item shipped to me. I called the company because I hadn’t ordered it and they told me about my new store credit card that was charged to within a few dollars of its max.
It was a huge pain to fix, too. The company denied my fraud claim a few times because the one thing I received at my real address made me look complicit.
Thankfully the companies pretty much believed me in that it was fraudulent. The problem was that I had no idea what all they had opened in my name until I either received the package and could contact the vendor, or when I received a collections notice that my delinquent account had been sent there. This all happened like 3 or so years ago, and as recently as early summer of this year I got a new collections notice and had to call and report it. And there were also times where I called and reported it as fraud, then they started their "investigation" into it. And then later I would still get notices about the fraud even though I had already reported it. So I'd have to call and re-report it and they'd tell me it was marked as fraud and closed, yet I was still getting mail about it.
Like I said, GIGANTIC pain in the arse.

Who's the sender? Might want to see if it's listed and call them.

It is from "Returns Processing Center 4801 Mercantile Dr. Ft. Worth, TX".
Comes back as a Verizon address. Guess I'll try to find a damn drop box or something.
I bet it's a phone return/exchange package with postage and there's nothing really in there besides that.

As a career Postal employee, I wish everyone would do the right thing when presented with this issue. While it may be addressed to your address, if the addressee doesn’t reside or receive mail there, the only correct option is to return the package to the delivering company and let them know that the addressee doesn’t reside or receive mail at the address on the package.

If it comes to my house with my address I usually open it without looking at the name. If after I open it I don’t recognize what it is I then look at name if it’s not mine I throw in trash.

Google the person's name with your city and see what Mr. Google knows. You might locate them very quickly that way. Then write them and tell them you are the FeDix Complaint department and they need to give you their bank account and Mastercard number for identification and you will send them the Verison package they are expecting.
Those two bits of info would likely be worth good money on the dark web.
Trust me. I have a cousin.

How is this thread four pages on something so simple.
Cross out your name, address, and the tracking barcode with permanent marker so they can't send it back to you.
Write "RTS" on it for Return to Sender.
Stick it in a FedEx Dropbox.
