Mid 70’s usually it seems. Their sun room though gets uncomfortably warm in the middle of the day, and it radiates that into their LR. They’re usually wrapped up still.

I’m 58 and all of my life I had been very uncomfortable when it’s cool. Strangely, in my 50’s I suddenly can bear much cooler temperatures. I seem to be aging in the wrong direction.

Cold like mine. Probably 67-68. My dad is the reason I like it so cold. I was raised with it.

See, that's how I know I'm not old yet. My house stays between 63-72. My mother will keep her house at 78 degrees no matter the time of year.

I keep my place in the low 60s.

When I would visit my Mom in FLORIDA she would keep the indoor temperature at around 78. Fortunately, the house had two thermostats and I would sleep on the other side of the house and crank the temperature down to 60. But in the middle of the night she would get up and raise it to 78.

The old girl passed away in January of this year at the age of 93. I’m sure that the temperature is perfect for her in her little piece of Heaven.

I have to laugh at this one. My now late father-in-law and the lady he was living with were old with him in his early 80's and her in her late 70's at the time.

They needed help from time to time with the old man having health and mobility issues and I'd head up to central La. and stay until things got manageable for them. In the winter I suffered due to the house being 80 degrees and the air dry as dust.

Several times a day I'd walk outside on the deck in shorts, a t-shirt and flip-flops to get cooled down and it could be 40 degrees out and I was in hog heaven.

My sinuses suffered greatly with all that hot, dry air 24/7.

My thermostat is currently on 66 and I'm in shorts, t-shirt and flip-flops and loving it.

No idea what they put that thing on, but it's in the 40's here and I'll probably be wearing shorts to the in-laws tonight

Who the frick turns down an old person’s thermostat? Or anyone's thermostat? I’d ask you to leave if you did something like that

A balmy 76-78 degrees at all times.

Growing up it didn’t bother me, nowadays I practically have to sleep nekked in order not to sweat in my sleep

I don't know the exact temp but let me just say my wife, daughter, and I are living with our parents (mine during the week, hers on weekends) until our house is finished being built. Lets just say whether it's warm or cold outside, both parents houses are way to fricking hot all the time.

I've considered putting in a fake thermostat.
