By and large The Delaware Valley (Greater Philadelphia) has relied on natural gas since JFK took a bullet in Dallas

There used to be a bumper sticker in the south in the 70's/80's...in reference to high oil prices (which is good for Louisiana)....the bumper sticker read.....
"Let the Yankee bastards freeze to death in the dark."

Take off your ugly Christmas sweater. Problem solved.

My mom likes it around the temperature of the sun, which is a bit too warm for my tastes.

We are at MaMaw's who has bad circulation, central air on 78 all day and she also has a space heater going in her room.
Every time i walk by the thermostat I turn it down but within five minutes it's back up to the remarkable temp of 78.
So your comfort is more important than your grandmother not being freezing cold and miserable on Christmas Eve? Bet she’s probably worked for God knows how many hours preparing an awesome Christmas meal for the family and this is how you thank her?
Also, it’s her house. How would you feel if someone came to your house and started messing with your thermostat?

Heating oil is about the same thing as diesel fuel.

Six feet under in a Catholic Philadelphia Cemetery I suppose the temperature is around 26° on Christmas Eve

My dad cranks it to mid-70s even on days when it's 68 outside. Damn old people and their thin blood.

Last oil bill was $800 for 3 weeks.
That’s ridiculous. I pay about $80 every 5 months or 12,000 miles.

I can't keep the heat on the same temp that I keep the ac during the summer. The hot air makes it stuffy to me. We keep it 70/71 in the summer and 65/66 during the winter.

My mom and kept their house at 68 in the winter and 72 in the summer.

Houses up north use Heating oil rather than NG or Propane. Makes the house smell like kerosene....Hotel I stayed in Baltimore used heating oil. I had to get used to the smell, having never smelled that before other than kerosene.
Isn’t it actually Diesel?
