More than 4 TV channels.
Back in the day while all my friends had Cable and MTV we had only
ABC, CBS, NBC & PBS
My mother believed the "Idiot Box" was going to be the destruction of my generation & intelligent society as we know it.
So, I had to stay outside and keep myself occupied learning to shoot, fish, hunt, camp, backpack, canoeing, chasing snakes & other critters, mastering the BBQ pit & smoker, repairing cars and boat motors.
When it was raining I read books & magazines.
My life was so tough compared to my friends.
Mom wasn't as dumb as I thought she was.
Thank you Mom, I miss you!

Alexa. Still don’t have one. However, I can control my AC and all my cameras from apps on my iPhone

I remember my parents got the first color TV in about 1976. I think that was pretty late compared to most. Same with a microwave oven. It was like 1988 or 1989.

One thing we were always up on: coffee machines. Dad was a coffee fiend and we always had the most state of the art Mr Coffee or whatever machine was out. Seemed there was a new one every year or so.

Non stick pots/pans, my family never owned one. I bought my first one in 2009 or so.

I didn't have my first dishwasher until two years ago.

I have one that you all may curse me for. We may have started the at home golf cart trend in south louisiana. We were the first family i know of to get two... In 1989.

My car doesn't have adaptive cruise control or blind spot detection. But it's been paid off for years
