Replaced the strap with a black resin strap without the ridges. Believe it or not I've gotten compliments.

Only thing luxury about it is no winding or batteries needed in 15 years.

Damn, have an upvote sir.

Whoever downvoted that is a hater. That's like 100K on the wrist.

Certainly not a luxury watch, but rolling with the SKX009 today. The Uncle Straps FKM rubber is super comfortable.

I don't think it's hate at all....watch design is very subjective, especially a watch as polarizing as the Aquanaut.

That's my every day watch. Great because it's not flashy. You can wear it everything

I went to a class reunion this past weekend and a couple of guys had some impressive looking watches that I could not get close enough to identify and I conveniently tried to hide my 20 year old Guess watch.

Aquanaut.

I was chatting with a friend one day about how interesting the Aquanaut is. My wife overheard and stored it away in her memory. For my birthday she gave me an… Octonauts watch. Simple misunderstanding.

But seriously folks. I’m wearing my Zodiac Super Sea Wolf 68 saturation diver on rubber strap.

Unfortunately, the Fossil Group STP (Swiss Technology Production) auto movements in the modern Zodiacs are total garbage. On my own I’ve just about got this “chronometer” below +/- 2 mins/day (was +/- 6 mins). This is after sending to FG for a repair because the movement went completely to shite.

Anyway, I digress. Cool watch, but I’ll probably give up on wearing it for anything other than dirty work.

(BTW, the picture makes it look WAY bigger on my 7” wrist than it does in the flesh. It’s a big boy, but the lugless design makes it wearable.)

I'm not a hater but the design is just meh to me.

Hot take: Breguet and Lange should replace Patek and AP in the Trinity. Especially AP. If somebody gifted me a Royal Oak I would sell it and buy three or four watches I like.

Can a ETA, Miyota, Seiko, or Sellita movement get swapped in?

I haven’t looked that far into it, but that’s something to consider, thanks. I may just bring it to a watch repair shop and see what they can do with it. I’ve got plenty of other watches, so I’m not sure I have the energy to bother with it.

Hopefully it can be a drop-in affair. I do similar with some of my Benchmade knives, drop them into AWT scales to make them what they should have been.

Breguet? Come on.

Breguet had some OK watches in 2025 but hasn’t been relevant since the Roth-era and shortly thereafter.
