I am a dad, and this post is the first time I have heard of Hokas.

Is there a specific Hoka model that’s a Dad’s shoe as many pictures look more queer inspired.

As for Brooks I almost bought some Puredrifts several years back, but ended up buying something else. At least at the time I thought Brooks had some good running shoes.

Rancourt leather oxfords - made in the US and wear like iron. I can wear them when feeding the cows in the rain, then let them dry out, polish them up and use them as dress casual shoes. The shoes take abuse well. I have three pairs that I interchange. I regularly wear them for long walks with the dogs in the pastures and woods.

I only know about them because I know a lot of boat people and these got really popular as boat shoes about 5 years ago.

I'd much rather Brooks (I have multiple pairs of these) over Hokas. I don't think I'd ever wear Hokas. And I'm 50. I also like NB and Asics.

Hoka and New Balance are typical post-middle age (40+) male shoes.

Skechers arch fit Go Walk Slip Ins are awesome, though perhaps more grandad than dad.
