Yeah, it is about right. You don't know what you're talking about. A single missed payment is the biggest knock on a credit score.

Thanks for the info.

You do realize that there are guys over at Patrick Taylor Hall and other places on campus that can get around your Lifelock type of " protection " in about 5 minutes.

You don't give a damn yet you cared enough to check your score and post it. I don't care about it DEEPLY - it was simple question for curiosities sake.

Just as a reminder as I’m sure y’all know, Fico 8 (what you normally see) can be different than your Auto and Mortgage scores. In particular FICO 2/4/5 (mortgage) scores are really sensitive to new lines of credit so it can be a good idea to have a 12+ month gap between getting a new vehicle or credit card and buying/refinancing a house.

You are heading to the top of the list of the dumbest posters and that is a hard list to top.

Discover pays Fair Isaac to show their customers their FICO 8 score based on their Transunion credit report.

As a previous mortgage and auto lender, I’ve never pulled a customer’s credit score before………SUREE. You people with 1 discover credit card that only use it responsibly for gas or something have zero fvcking clues on what you are talking about. Go sit down with op on the loser bench. Y’all were so annoying to deal with crying about their rates because discover said XYZ.

Everybody leads with, or brags about, their perceived strength, as such, I don't give a hoot about credit scores.

I have gone 83 years since since my last natty. How many of you slackers can say that?

Yeah, it is about right. You don't know what you're talking about. A single missed payment is the biggest knock on a credit score

A single missed payment usually has no effect on your credit score unless it hits that 30-day mark because then you've missed a whole billing cycle (basically missing two payment deadlines to keep it off of your credit record). When it's just late (but not 30 days late) the creditors don't even report it as long as you pay it before the next normal due date. Also, depending on what you're paying, some loan agreements are listed in default after that long with no payment.

The length and shape of your credit history also is part of the equation here when looking at how much something like that might affect your score.

We agree. Poster missed payment. I took that to mean missed completely even after the "30 day grace". If his score tanked that much then he missed the payment completely.

It does indeed, but I still maintain an unpaid debt (30 day, whatever) is by far the biggest knock on a credit score.
