Looking forward to a new poboy festival in Lafayette this year. Will be downtown on April 2nd and should have all the local poboy restaurants represented. I still the think Acadiana has the best poboys with NOLA a close second...

I have always loved the Jambalaya Festival in Gonzales ?

I was amazed at how crappy the Jambalaya is at that festival.

I know the whole bone in chicken and pork is supposed to be reminiscent of the old days but I didn't care for it. They mix all of the competitors submissions together and by the time you get some it is a cold mess.

I guess they cook some "regular" jambalaya too but the time I went they didn't have any ready.

I was disappoint.

Strawberry Festival

But I'm biased. I went to school in Ponchatoula and we have a house a block off of the park.

It's more like a big family reunion every year.
