I just always see you ranting and raving about the handling of your 5 series, but you're bashing and questioning the purpose of cars that handle a million times better.

Alright, I'd take a Z8. I don't have a use for one, but shite I'll take it. Those supercars are a joke. I'd rather a 180 hp vintage track car with a roll cage over that any day, but again I've never even been to track and I don't currently have plans to. It's simple, I don't believe stats make the vehicle and I don't crave 400hp. I just don't. My good friend has an M6 GC and it's super nice, but he won't do burn outs or hang it out over the edge. I wouldn't either.

Want what you want. I'd like a 964 911, no a Z8.

ETA: it's not the handling, it's the whole car. It's what I want. When both of these are paid off I'm not buying anything else until my son starts driving my truck. Then the wife gets a new vehicle and I get the 5. That's the plan at least.

this isnt about use, its about what you want simply because you like it. I dont need a ferarri amd have never raced cars or anything like that, but i sure as frick would love to have one. Hence the title of this thread, "dream automobile"

It's really hard to choose just one car and my picks change all of the time. I would have different cars for different purposes.

My cross country car for road trips across N. America would be and Audi S8.

My all out supercar would be a Pagani Zonda 760 RS.

That sound! LINK

My everyday car for in town would be a Jeep SRT8.

And of course I would have to at least have a Corvette, Viper, and Hellcat Challenger. The list could go on forever.

Tacomas didn't come around till 1995. The original Toyota trucks were named just "pickup". Or "Hilux".

I love these "my pickup" posters. It's cool if you're not a gearhead or not into cars, but they sure make a stubborn effort to refuse to get the point of threads like this one. I have an '03 Tundra 4x4 that I plan to never get rid of because it's awesome, but I enjoy it for things other than driving pleasure.
I've got an old Carrera 2 and I rarely find a road where I think, "this would be so much better in my 4000 lb, 245hp pickup."
