It's extremely obvious that the only viable branch of Christianity left is that of the neo-reformed type. E.g. Tim Keller.
Those are the only folks actually making a difference, and the only people with solid reasoning to life's difficult questions.

Energy is neither created or destroyed it just changes forms.

Good to see the church coming to light. Heaven and Hell are here on Earth.

To say people disappear into nothing is actually far closer to the old Hebrew texts that Jesus would have been following.

Someone already answered it for me:

Again, the concept of Hell that people think of now is not in the Bible. What people think of now comes from what was essentially medieval pop culture

I assume this thread will be whacked under the old no-religon -threads rule, but I'm curious to see that fleshed out. I mean if you are a materialist/atheist then I'm not curious. Otherwise, I am.

Hell contradicts the idea of an all-forgiving and all-loving God.

Apparently this guy has misrepresented the Pope before and this new revelation may be bogus. LINK

It does beg the question of why does the Pope keep talking to the guy.

It’s because he likes to talk to people of all backgrounds and if he constantly dodged him he would probably be criticized for it.

If you believe what they do and want to take communion in the Catholic Church then go become Catholic and do it, otherwise why complain? My dad does the same thing, complains about not being able to get communion because he’s Methodist but he never goes to communion at his own church. Makes zero sense.

Edit: I also don’t mean you specifically, just a manner of speaking

Wait... You mean to tell me that some dark fantasy world full of fire and "demons", supposibly reserved for those who don't worship a man from an ancient book, who does magic tricks...
And though he is completely selfless in action and teaching, he is fully selfish in damning you to this "hell" for not believing in him???

Never would have guessed.

I heard some devout Catholic say this version of the Pope is Satan in a robe.

Meh.....

Luke 16 22-24 (NIV)
The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried. In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. So he called to him, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.'
