This comes up time to time but I still don't find one that comes close to what happened to a good friend of mine: Only 23, newly married, first child on the way, he was playing golf with 3 of us. None of us any good, just enjoying the sun & lots of beer. He blew a chip shot, swung his club against the side of the cart, it broke in half & one part flew into his throat & he subsequently bled to death. Just a big happy go lucky Italian who was not angry, just goofing off. My oldest son was born the day of his wake, 34 years ago next Monday.

No kidding. I've lived my life wrong if a scenario like this doesn't sound totally implausible.

My best friend was showing off on his motorcycle for some chick on West Napoleon. Went up on one wheel, a truck pulls out in front of him. He hits truck and goes flying.
Sad all around. But we all knew he would never make it to 30. Just too much of an adrenaline junkie.

15 years ago I noticed water running out onto our rural road. It was from a neighbors house and a stream had formed from her house all the way to the road. No answer at the door or on the phone so I called police. They kicked the door in and quickly came out looking white as ghosts.
Apparently several days earlier the rather obese woman slipped in her bathroom. She went through the drywall which broke a pipe and pierced her chest.

I bid on doing some work for a man who owned some land out towards Zachary. I find out 3 weeks after I bid his job that he had died in a gruesome accident that should be on 1001 ways to die. He was digging holes with his tractor/auger with a 12" auger bit when the auger got stuck. He got off of his tractor to free whatever was keeping the bit from digging and his shirt got caught in the bit as he was leaning over. His wife found him mangled up and dead later that evening with the bit still churning up his remains. Very sad and you know he suffered a slow death.

This is really tragic stuff.
I knew a guy that died in a plane crash. That's about it.

I was drunk the day my mom got out of prison. And I went to pick her up in the rain. But before I could get to the station in my pickup truck, she got run over by a damned old train

Y'all remember houses used to have those built in gas heaters in the bathroom? Well my babysitter passed out from the gas and drowned in the bathtub.

Real answer: a great aunt hung herself in the attic of our plantation home. We were doing some renovations this past year and while moving shite around found a note she left scratched into the wall saying sorry and to forget about her.
Haven't slept in that house alone since

1. Who the hell are you hanging out with?
2. I'm confused, 2 people died from being "lightly tortured?"
Husband and wife... both were lightly tortured for roberry motivation, ie. atm codes and things of that ilk. Both were also buried alive. The couple was someone we had done about 40k in interior remodeling work for, not even a month prior. Mrs sumner had liver cancer she got from hep c, which she got from a blood transfusion in the 80's... after being shot 7 or 8 times by her then husband. It hands down is the fricked up situation i have had the misfortune to ever be around. The female of the group convicted for this even has a Wikipedia page here

know her brother and hunt with her dad on occasion. That was definitely a freak accident.
A few days after Katrina, a tree from an adjacent lot fell on my friend while he was cutting up logs in his mom's yard. He was a freshman in HS.
Yeah I remember a branch fell on a little boy riding his bike in my grandparents neighborhood in Covington. Killed him.

this stereotypical neighborhood crack head chick named chicken that lived next door to my grandmother. she stole dope from the plug, they found her, threw her in the garbage can behind the gas station and burned her alive.

When I was a child, I had a dream in which a crow flew to my window in the dead of night and told me that my Aunt Avice was going to die. Naturally, I was frightened and told my parents of the dream, of course they thought nothing of it at the time. Sure enough the next day we got the call telling us Avice had died.
The next week, the crow came to me again and told me that my father was going to die. After much internal debate, I told my father of the dream and saw the color leave his face. That day, he was paranoid and scared of even getting in his automobile. When he got home, he told my mother that it was the worst day of his life. To which my mother replied, "you think you've had a bad day, just this morning the milk man dropped dead on our porch."
So evidently my mom was banging the milk man.

Grew up near a family that had three sons and a daughter. One son got drunk/high and passed out on train tracks and the train came and hit him. One of my friends found a toe later. Another son from the same family got mauled to death by a mountain lion while hiking in California. All the rest have managed to dodge death for now.

A guy I want to school was killed when he pulled to the side of the road to fix something on his car. While he was under the car, some dickwad hit his car, knocking it off the jack and killing him.
ETA. My Dad told us that when he was a kid, he was at a baseball game when the pitcher was struck in the chest with a line drive. Picked up the ball, threw out the runner, and keeled over dead.
