I'm seeing the average pay for a flight attendent is somewhere in the like $65k-$85k. Why the frick would I tip them? They are already being paid for the service they are providing.

Tipping after the flight is useless. On the way back from Istanbul (Turkish), I waited until the first cabin service was over. Walked to the galley, slipped the guy a $50, and it worked out well for the 3 of us (#4 was unconscious the entire flight.)
I'm not tipping IAH-DEN, or probably on any US carrier internationally. Their risk management is much stricter than foreign airlines.

OK, I checked flight attendant salaries and starting at the bottom 10%, they make on average $30K a year.
Average salary is in the low to mid $40's and the top 10% make between $80-100K.
They also get health insurance, retirement plan, hotel reimbursements when held over and free, or discounted flights.
So if the average flight attendant, a living wage if you watch your budget.
They are not getting below minimum wage like bartenders and wait staff.

lots of variation between the fly by nights and the big leagues, it would be a bit surprising to see how much some of the FAs with seniority make in the big leagues versus how little some of the ones with the fly by nights make

If she was hot and took me to the Mile High Club I might slide her a 20 but very few are hot or truly female any more.

On the maid thing I tipped a made once a royal sonesra. Friend Ralphed up a pretty gnarly combination of red beans and rice and hurricanes. We were drunk/hungover and split but left a generous tip.

This is only on multiple day stays when you don't want them stealing your stuff

Many, many years ago, when Southwest used to give you free drink coupon books when it awarded frequent flyer miles, I used to go on annual guy trips to Vegas with 10 to 20 friends.
During boarding, we would commandeer the back part of the plane for our seats. Before takeoff, we would find the FA working the back, hand her a stack of free drink coupon books (we were all frequent flyers and would save our coupons for this trip) along with a C note or 2 and say "The drink cart doesn't leave our section"
Worked every time. We were well hydrated that flight and would usually drink the plane dry. We drank so much it would make Wade Boggs blush. Some trips, if the FA was busy attending other passengers, she would just point out where the booze and beer was stored and we served ourselves.
Of course, that was when travelers were more well-behaved. I'm sure we couldn't get away with it now.

On commercial flights if I’m drinking I’ll tip - it usually ends up with at least one free drink. I’ve had SWA FAs give me multiple free drinks.
On a private flight I tip all 3 (pilot, co-pilot, and FA) a $100 bill each. They put good shite in the notes and every flight I get on has my favorite stuff.

I feel kind of bad for not tipping movers.
I do not feel that way about stewardesses.

this is not a thing, nor should anyone be advocating for it to be a thing. if that dude got drunk and thought burning a $20 bill would get him some pussy, that’s on him.
