My erratic work schedule while sitting at a computer.

Work schedule and intensity combined with being tied to a desk and computer most of the day.
A healthy breakfast and lunch takes time to prepare and consume. I have very little time with work and being a parent and spouse. So I drink coffee and get whatever is convenient and move on. My diet consists of more pre-made smoothies and fast food than it should - both of which are a shite load of calories. I also drink way more caffeinated beverages than I should.
Switching to black coffee has helped. Trying to switch to tea but coffee is what’s around here and it’s easy to just pour a cup.

I eat too much. I really cut back on eating last year due to a combination of poverty and depression and lost a significant amount of weight.
Since then, I started cooking again and got a different job where I’m even more sedentary and started gaining weight again. I’ve been exercising more, but still haven’t been able to start losing again.

It's not the pizza. It's you.

Because the internet supports my corpulent nature, and all the fat shamers are racist.
...Oh, and I'm from Alabama.

What no one on the OT Baller forum wants to say, but money. To get higher quality foods with good protein to calories ratios that don't taste like dog food....well, that stuff costs a pretty penny. Good beef, steaks, fish, etc....all is astronomically high and sometimes it's just easier to hand Taco Bell a $10 bill.
Ie- being lazy

quote:this is total nonsense. Fast food is more expensive than eating a healthy diet. You don’t have to eat some grass fed organic or all the bs like that in order to eat healthy

Don’t have the will power to fast? If your time is so limited, just skip breakfast and lunch?

What is the one thing preventing you from losing weight?
I benefit from the intersection of three useful traits:
a) I’m not a connoisseur*
b) I can easily skip a whole day without eating
c) I like to regularly exercise
I’m fortunate, if I want to eat a pint of Breyer’s, I can.
I’m in firm control of myself, it’s taken me a long time to realize that not many folks have the same abilities.
*I like the taste of good food and the eating experience but I don’t live to eat.
