I just heard Shane Gillis raving about 30a on his podcast and I'd bet he can afford to go wherever he wants these days

It's easy to take for granted if you're from a place that's within driving distance

Panhandle isn't bad. Its the people that make it gross.

Plymouth Rock. It isn't even impressive as far as rocks go. And it likely isn't even "the" rock.

It's just sort of en vogue to dunk on it because of the 30A sticker crowd. But the whole "people act like it's world class lol" thing doesn't hold up when some of the homes in Alys are genuinely world class.

I get the appeal of 30A, but it’s just not for me. Unfortunately my lady friend loves it and her family has a house in Seagrove so it looks like I’ll be visiting there frequently.

Honestly, I’d probably soften my stance if they banned golf carts.

Islamorada is better IMO if you like fishing. If you dont, stay in Miami.

I've been to both Key West and Miami recently, and I much preferred the vibe in Key West. Miami is fun if you're partying at the Fontainebleau, but South Beach is full of trash. Key West reminded me a lot of a "safer" New Orleans.

This is more than a bit of a stretch.

I understand 30A being annoying but I don't really get why people claim it's overrated. It's legitimately great beach in a setting you really can't replicate anywhere else in the country. Multiple high end beach "towns" with perhaps the highest concentration of really nice beach (especially waterfront) accommodations in America, decent restaurants and shopping, clean, safe, highly walkable, etc.

Agreed, it's hard to beat the quality of beaches in 30A while staying in America.

Yeah I get that.

I spent months of my life down there as a kid and really started to sneer at it as it got popular and less enjoyable (esp in the Summer). But when I started vacationing with kids on my own, I developed a renewed appreciation for what it offers generally.

The ones listing Disney & Orlando make me laugh. As you said, you know what you're getting. And if you get tired of going to Disney, Universal is close. And while I haven't done these, have heard Sea World, the Space Center, and Lego Land are all an easy car ride away from Disney/Universal. Also heard some people have enjoyed a few of the golf courses in the Orlando area.

I would put Honolulu in that category, but not the entire island. Kailua is awesome.

To answer the OP's question, I would say Broken Bow, OK. For a more popular choice, I would say Nashville, TN.

Jurassic Park seems overrated. Same with Jurassic World.

I couldn't possibly care less about visiting Nashville. I've spent a lot of time in Austin and I'm not sure how or why that became such a popular bachelor/bachelorette party and long weekend destination.

Right. Has turned into the latest "trendy" fad for the millennial bachelor/bachelorette party or weekend drunk bash for some reason.

Vegas and South Beach are money dependent for the whether it's overrated or not category.

Los Angeles is overrated imo.

I will probably say Nashville, TN because it is overpriced and it can get boring after 2 days easily.

Fair, but I feel like anyone traveling to Nashville knows exactly what they are getting into and it pretty much meets expectations.

My vote is San Francisco.

The Mrs and I went to Gatlinburgh last year after first visiting about 20 years ago. I loved it 20 years ago, this visit I hated it. Too many people, too much traffic, to much commercialization restaurants and hotels everywhere.

If you stay on strip, sure. I go about twice a year and go hiking, to concerts/sports, or different mix of events and locations. It has everything you can want between outdoor activities, entertainment, food, sports, etc. People who go just to drink from the moment they get on the plane until they leave, of course it will suck.
