The resort I stayed at had a beach. I think the few beaches on the island are all private

Yep.. spent many, many weeks there for work, and after you hit a couple restaurants on the Riverwalk, it’s over .. could never for the life of me figure out how it became such a massively popular trade show/convention site .

have to say though, i was pleasantly surprised at the Alamo, , thought it was pretty cool.. but i was much younger .

Pretty cool but you see it, take a pic and get out.

ive been to Las Vegas once. I knew that i didnt want to go before i went but it was part of a larger vacation.

I can confirm that i hated it. It was like Bourbon street on steroids. Weed everywhere. Just a nasty place. Give me the mountains any day of the week over that crap

Went to Dubai last year. It has some of the finest Architecture in the world. The other 95% is pretty crap.

All of this. Just about every large American city is overrated IMO. Rather be in a small town somewhere with some cool outdoors stuff.

Key west. Bad restaurants, overpriced, and a lot of bud light drinkers.

For me, it was a toss up between Nice, France or Nashville.

I can see not enjoying an extended stay vacation. I enjoy the vibe (no-homo) there though. I'd like to retire to The Keys.

Unless you're getting "catch of the day," all of the restaurants in the Keys are dog shite.
