Disney World

Just because you don’t like Disney, doesn’t mean it’s overrated as a trace place. I think it’s properly rated.

It’s close to a major airport. There are plenty of dining and hotel options, both on property and off property. Infrastructure is great, roads are nice, the area is clean.

What did you experience at Disney that you didn’t expect to? You know it’s crowded, you know there’s waits, you know there’s people of all types, and it’s expensive. That’s known going into it, so it shouldn’t shock you.

Disney World is phenomenally clean. Plenty of polite workers. Great accommodations and transportation. Great entertainment.

Key west. Bad restaurants, overpriced, and a lot of bud light drinkers.

Islamorada is better IMO if you like fishing. If you dont, stay in Miami.

think Key West probably disappoints more people than any other highly desired travel location I can see this being "Overrated" if you go thinking you're going to be sitting on a sandy beach all day.

I find the average person that goes to Key West is expecting beaches like the panhandle. There really isn’t any beaches, but the sand bars are freaking awesome. If you go to Key West and don’t go out on a boat everyday there isn’t much point of going there.

ive been to Las Vegas once. I knew that i didnt want to go before i went but it was part of a larger vacation. I can confirm that i hated it. It was like Bourbon street on steroids. Weed everywhere. Just a nasty place. Give me the mountains any day of the week over that crap

Vegas also has the mountains with skiing, lakes and beaches

The right person loves KW, for many, a tropical paradise without beaches, with zero concern about customer service ends up a disappointment.

I think that’s a lot of places post-Covid. It’s not so much a lack of concern as it is there are too few trying to do too much.

Orlando in July is the most miserable place on earth. It's hot, humid, not on the water, and I-4 is the world's largest parking lot.

I agree on post-covid but I think the Keys have always been like that. Someone looking for a hospitality focused wine and dine in KW is going to be very disappointed and that goes back decades IMO.

I understand 30A being annoying but I don't really get why people claim it's overrated. It's legitimately great beach in a setting you really can't replicate anywhere else in the country. Multiple high end beach "towns" with perhaps the highest concentration of really nice beach (especially waterfront) accommodations in America, decent restaurants and shopping, clean, safe, highly walkable, etc.

Is it overpriced? I suppose the fact that a week in Watercolor or Alys could pay for a decent vacation in Europe would tend to say yes. But again, there isn't a "30A alternative" that I'm aware of, so people pay for that.

Like I said earlier if you’re out in a boat all day and either fishing or hanging at the sandbars Key West is great. If you thought there was a crowded Sandy beach outside of every hotel room you just didn’t do your homework.

The restaurant scene is severely lacking. I think it just evolved into what it is because people come here to day drink all day and then eat Caribbean style bar food at night. There’s a few spots, but for as busy as it is there should be better options.

I'd rather go to Cabo than a TX beach for a short weekend stay. Takes same amount of time to get to either, and can cost the same.

A more cultural experience takes too long for a trip that short.

The two most glaring to me:

New Orleans and Disney (since 2019 at least)
