What is the most intense weather you’ve witnessed?

Non hurricane for me. Maybe 2013ish. I was driving back on a Monday morning from Kenner to thibodaux for “class”. Looking cloudy. I check my radar once I get on hwy 1 and there is a front line barreling right in on us from the west. Beyond red. Everything purple.
I’m wanting to get to my apt before this shite hits so I’m gassing it up. Slow pieces of shite in front of me. I hit the country club and the front line looked unreal. Low level clouds. It went from day to midnight. I’m taking a short cut through campus to get to my work. The pine trees are whipping a good 5 foot. I turn my little car sideways on this wind and I thought I was going off the road.
Barely made it to my work which was right off campus for some shelter. It was the craziest thing I have ever saw. Just how quickly it all happened.

Thunderstorm at 11,000 feet in Wyoming. Lightning striking all around and no place to hide.

Hurricane Rita was a motherfricker.
We evacuated to just Alexandria, 2 hours north.
The howling of the wind just at 70-75 MPH was rough, I can’t imagine it for the people that stayed. And I’ve never heard anyone say that they’d stay and ride out another storm again.
The damage was incredible. Not a ton of deaths because everyone realized what it a storm can do since Katrina was 3 weeks before. Plus, it’s sort of rural here on this side of the state and the population density isn’t nearly as thick.

There was a pretty intense storm in Baton Rouge a few years back. Happened just before lunch, and it looked like night time. The sky had this weird green look to it.

Watched a man and his daughter die from lightning during a tropical storm in 2004 in Gulf Shores. The weather itself wasn't the worst I've ever seen, but that image will always be in my mind.

Hurricane Charley. We moved from hotel to hotel for 3 days until our power was back on. Cleaning that fridge was nasty. 
I grew up with way too many blizzards. Worst winter weather was during a week in Minneapolis when the temp never got above 0 and wind chills never above -10. It was so cold that by the time I got Chinese and walked a block, it had to be microwaved before eating.

Tuscaloosa Tornado. Watched it come down 15th Street before seeking shelter in my apartment clubhouse.

Tornado.
Blew down virtually every tree in my yard and did some damage to the house and destroyed two cars in my driveway.
And yes, I could hear the train sound as oft mentioned.
It lasted maybe 10 seconds or so.
Then eerie quiet.
Then walked outside to see what was destroyed. The entire street was unrecognizable.
