Went through the eye of Cindy in 2005. That lil bitch packed a punch for a small storm.

Tornadoes in 1999 and 2014.

Andrew as a kid.

A f-king micro burst hit my house. Roof was transported to street and I thought I was going to die.

I've been through a couple of minor hurricanes and crazy dfw tornadoes but the 40 straight days over 100 a few years ago was intense in a marathon sort of way. Most of those days were at 105-106. It wore me down.

Stopped on shoulder of 15 south of Monroe w binocs looking at some geese in a field. Overcast. Sky and clouds turned green. State trooper pulled up behind me, got out and said "sir you need to get moving a tornado is coming." Immediately a funnel cloud starts creeping down, like the Angel of Death in the 10 Commandments movie.

He got in his truck, I got back in mine. 30 seconds later all hell broke loose, couldn't see out of windshield or windows. Lasted about 1 minute, after he and I both got out and both of us took a stress piss on side of highway.

2003. "Sandstorm of the Century". It went on for 4 or 5 days. Just miserable. I remember having to pry my eyelids open in the morning because they'd cake shut while you were sleeping. Although it might me more accurate to call it an extreme event rather than intense. I'd say a tornado or hurricane is more "intense".

Been through tons of storms living across the gulf coast and was fortunate enough to have an EF-1 hit my house, but Hurricane Ivan had the most terrifying noises Ive ever heard. Horrible storm.

Road out Andrew in Kirby Smith. It was bad but I was hammered so I really didn’t give a shite. Just glad my car wasn’t one of the ones that got its windows busted out by the pea gravel coming off of the roof of the dorm like bullets.

Been through several hurricanes but nothing as scary as April 27, 2011 in Tuscaloosa. That was a frightening day.

The howling of Hurricane Ike was just unsettling. We rode it out in downtown Houston about 8 stories up. 2 hours into the intense wind most of the windows were shaking within their frames. We drug a TV into the Bathroom and rode out most of it in there, seriously thought a window was about to blow out

I wasn't very old, but I have memories of being in Hialeah (NW Miami) during Andrew.

I don't remember being particularly frightened. We (my sister's house) didn't have any property damage.

Hurricane (not actually, a derecho) Elvis in 2003 when I was in HS was freaking nuts.

Scruffy was on the last flight out when that really bad storm that flooded Texas a few years back was just getting there.

Spirit airlines.

Never been more scared.

Also been on a house boat and watched a water spout touch down close by.

As other people said, Rita. Dad and Scruffy ended up going to the hospital in New Iberia to ride it out.
