I think we've had one get fired after 3-4 days.

At my last job I saw girl get hired that quit in like 6 hrs. The first day she had her online training/orientation and didn't make it the whole day

New employee was sent to Dallas for regional training. Got drunk and fell asleep with hotel tub running. Water ran down 11 stories of hotel rooms before they got in, woke him up and and turned it off.

5 days total employment.

Had an intern show up to the first day of the orientation in flip flops and a tank top. He then fell asleep while the plant manager was talking an hour later. He was shown the door not too long after. So, about an hour.

When I tended bar, more than once I've seen other bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff show up completely fricking blasted on one thing or another on their first day and be let go immediately.

We had a new tech hire who made it most of a week before HR discovered she had lied about her education on her resume.

Guy showed up, clocked in, clocked out, ate his lunch in the break room, walked out the door and drove off.

Supervisor said he was going to call him back, I told him not to bother.

All I’ll say is, ask Preauxfessor (poster on here) about his hire of an HR manager and the infamous Christmas party fiasco that followed. It won’t set records for the fastest, but it was a matter of weeks, and it was brilliant.

Started a new job as an office manager a few years ago. Ancient employees would come and hire new people then have me fire them within a week to 10 days. I never figured out wtf was wrong with management but I did move on....

Archie Manning saw a guy and his parrot fired in 3 hours
“ Archie Manning tells the story of a punt returner signed by the Saints for a preseason game. He showed up along with a colorful parrot.
"It just sat on his shoulder," Manning told NFL Films. "So we get dressed and everyone's asking him, 'Where are you going to put that bird?' He says he'll just put him on the top shelf of the locker and he'll just stay there."

Two punts came Parrot Man's way and he muffed them both. “Everybody knew that guy was gonna be gone.”
The parrot fared even worse."So we come back into the locker room after the game," Manning said, "and that bird was dead as a doornail ... just laid out in the locker."

Not fired, but I had a guy I hired quit after 1 hour.

On his first day, I set him up with a task in another room. After about an hour I get a text from him saying that he was in over his head. I went to talk to him and looked out the window and he is driving off in his car.

Saw a guy get canned in less than 30 mins at an Airgas plant. He walked over to the acetylene plant, stood directly in the doorway and lit up a cigarette. See ya

During college I worked at a group home for bi-polar adults. I was asked to resign on the day my buddy was to start training. He showed up and mentioned my name to his trainer at which point they told him they changed their mind about hiring him. He lasted 15 minutes through no fault of his own.

Not fired, but a teacher left after 3rd hour crying on the first day. Imagine 4 years of college for a job that lasted 3 hours.

I have fired a couple of people on their first day of work. When that has happened, I always knew that the fault was mine for not doing a better job in the interview process.

I had to fire an unpaid intern for sleeping. Gave her a task on her 2nd day and about 45 minutes later one of the VPs came in my office and said I should check on her. Kicked her chair and told her to not come back. I didn’t want to have her around in the first place without paying her but her Tech school required the unpaid internship as part of the program.
